1. Start looking at styles and fabrics now. Look everywhere, in magazines, shops and general advertising.
  2. Go to wedding dress sales, specialist and department stores. Keep your eyes open and always have an open mind, you never know what you will see!
  3. Spend time with your Mum, wedding co-ordinator or best friend to try on dresses. Make appointments and try to go mid-week when they are less busy, you will have more time and feel relaxed.
  4. Choose about six from each shop and try lots of different styles. Don’t just try the ones you think you will like or the styles you have in your head! Be prepared to listen to the sales assistant and the people accompanying you, you don’t have to buy but take advantage of the chance to try on something different!
