The Rainbow team have unfortunately had to pull out of this year NABAS annual balloon conference in Warwickshire this weekend, due to illness within our team. Sue had major surgery last month and we are pleased to say she is progressing well.

We will all miss the opportunity of learning new skills and networking with other professionals at this great event. However the whole team are already booked in for the 2009 extravaganza.

Therefore we are sorry and apologise for the lack of recent blogs being posted by the rainbow team.

I have been co-ordinating events for the last twenty years - weddings, celebrations, corporate and charity events — nothing is too small or too big for the team at Rainbow Weddings. People often ask “how did it all begin?” so I though I’d write a post explaining the story so far. I began organising events, mostly charity events, summer balls, luncheons, and fundraisers – family weddings and “Big” celebrations soon followed. Friends and acquaintances asked me to organise their weddings and special events. It was at this time that someone said “Why don’t you set up your own business?” Is there a market for it I asked myself?  Well, to cut a long story short, I took the plunge and Rainbow Weddings was born. Since the launch in April 2004 we have been voted the best up and coming company in the wedding industry and we have been asked to write articles in  Wedding Magazines.

It was a wet and windy March morning when, Addie, the Bride to be, Julie the Mum and Sarah the chief bridesmaid arrived at the Rainbow Showroom.

We got in the car and made our way to Ampthill for our first appointment at 10.00pm. We arrived at All things Bride and Beautiful and were met by Caroline, who was expecting us.

She spoke briefly about what to think about when buying a wedding dress and listened carefully to what Addie had to say. She asked Addie, together with her supporters to choose 4 dresses she would like to try on. They looked excitedly at all five rails and picked out six! Caroline explained the “rules” of trying and buying your wedding dress. She then started with the dress with the least full skirt and took Addie into the fitting room.

Last weekend the Rainbow Team were out in force for the Milton Keynes Wedding Show.

The show stoppers were the Twinkling Starlight backdrop, the balloon topiary tree table centre and the floating cloud (with canopy) for cake tables. These pieces attracted a lot of attention during the three day show, with many people commented on their originality.

During the show we met many of our current Brides, saw some old faces and met lots of new and excited Brides-to-be. It looks like its going to be another exciting and busy year for all involved in Rainbow.

We hope that those of you that came to the show had an enjoyable time and have lots of ideas to continue to plan your special day.
